to stagger 2 year terms.  President and VP will initially serve 1 year and Secretary and Treasurer will serve 2 years.  Directors (who are not Officers) will have a term up to 5 years. Add verbiage that Bylaws to be reviewed every 5 years.

The only subject still to be decided is if we need/want a Bond for the Treasurer.  Alec will get more information on Bonds for December meeting.

Suggestion to install metal Firewise signs on light poles.  Need costs and permissions.

Additional discussion on a fall Emergency Earthquake Event.  Will add to December agenda.

Renewed Stump dump discussion.  It remains in LCMC control.  (see August 9th minutes)

Renewed discussion Dam failure siren.

Suggestion to look into “Map your Neighborhood”.  It’s a list of neighborhood resources that could help in an emergency.  Who has a chainsaw, ladders etc or has medical or dental training.

Suggestion to invite Block Watch to our meetings.  Possible synergy with Map your Neighborhood.

The ability to communicate will be the biggest obstacle in an emergency at Lake Cushman. Suggestion to have a ham radio operator in every neighborhood.  Classes are available locally. In an emergency have scheduled check-in times. Installing and paying for a repeater on Dow Mountain would fit within Firewise mission.

CERT training is being offered in April locally.  Need 12 people to have a class.  Colony Surf hopes to have 6 and Cushman tries to have 6.  Need someone to take the lead on this.
